Hello product builders,
This week we’re all about growth!
Building sustainable product growth engines
How do you establish an engine that assures organic and sustained product growth? My favorite method is to build a growth flywheel. Growth flywheels help identify interdependent components of the product ecosystem, define levers that sustain the product, and maximise return on the time and resources spent on building and marketing products.
Building a flywheel is an iterative process and difficult to encapsulate in a framework, but I’ve made an attempt. I’ve also taken a look at Amazon’s growth flywheel and how it led to decisions that had a profound impact on the company. Click here to give it a read.
Generally fun podcast with Anthony Dike
Anthony is a serial product tinkerer, and has launched several indie projects. Currently, he’s the Product Manager number 2 at blissfully.com. In this generally fun podcast, we’re talking building products zero to one, side hustles, and getting his first product gig. Give it a listen here. Anthony also writes ‘The Product Person’, and his post on writing great microcopy is popular with folks on Dropbox and Figma.
Ask Me Anything on product growth with Chitrak
Chitrak and I are doing an AMA session on product growth! We’ll be talking growth strategies for new products, scaling from zero, and some growth tactics that we’ve successfully used. Since it’s an AMA, we’ll be keeping it conversational and taking questions from anyone who’s on the live link with us.
Chitrak started his growth journey with making Flipkart the highest rated e-commerce app in India. He regularly consults startups on hypergrowth strategies. Some other cool stuff he's done includes growing an app to 250,000 downloads, launching an instagram page with 50,000 followers and a facebook page with 100,000 users.
If you want to hop in on the session, here are the details:
